In a tunnel kiln, bricks are loaded onto kiln cars, which pass through various temperature zones as they travel through the tunnel. The heat conditions in each zone are carefully controlled, and the kiln is continuously operated. Fuel may be natural gas, oil and coal in a tunnel kiln.
